Well, I've been busy updating this blog. I love the back ground, it makes me feel colder as if should, ITS WINTER! I do like having change.
I have finished Eclipse. It is so good. I just continue to love how she writes and how I still am captivated in these books. I am exited that the second movie will have a different director. I just think the first one should have been so much better.
Songs. . . I need to explain because there all over the place. Angry Johnny, I was a senior in high school and would wake-up to MTV on the TV, Angry Johnny was always on to wake me. I loved the song even though its about killing someone. I never knew why I liked the song, but now I believe its because of the guy I was with then. To this day I like it though. Leave Out All The Rest, wow. . . well, I think that everyone feels this way. I have found out this past yr that I have people that don't really like me, that feel that I have done things wrong to them. This was never my intent and I apologize. I would like to have them come to me and tell me these things, but I understand why they would not, I don't do that. Just some things that I need to work on and I hope and pray these people will think of the good that I have done and "Leave Out All The Rest". Its Your Love, this is David and my song, we danced to this at our wedding reception that was just picked out for us which suits us. The rest are just good songs. So now you know what is behind in my thinking.

New book
Yes, school is back in for me, so I read a chapter and do my work and then I can read, read a whole book. I just finished New Moon. It was so good and I enjoyed it. I find myself getting involved. I just do not want to put it down. I cannot understand where shes taking you at times still, it confuses me. David had me read it to him one night. I was thinking he was interested, but no, he needed to hear my voice to go to sleep. I will be going tomorrow with a couple of other women to see Twilight. An afternoon without the kids would be nice, but first I should finish my lab work for Biology. . .

New picture
K, so I was writing the other day on this and KC came by and said "mom, you need a new picture. That one is OLD". Umm. . . it was taken . . . oh. . . 3 yrs ago. Yeah, well, I'll look into that. Hay, maybe I'll have you peoples out there vote. . .

Book reviews
Since I didn't have text books to read for a bit I decided to read other books, books I could enjoy. Some ladies from the ward have a book club and this month they read "The Christmas Jar". This book was good and gave me an idea of what we can do as a family this next yr. I need to have Bre finish the pickles soon. This book made me cry and just puts things that I would like to do.
Another one that I got is called Naked Once More by Elizabeth Peters. I got this one from the library because my mom has me addicted to one of Elizabeth Peters series called The Amilia Peabody Series. I usually just listen to that series while on the long trip to AZ, but I wanted to read it. None were in so I picked Naked Once More. It was really good. I love the humor and I told David I wish I could come up with some of the things that Jacqueline Kirby (the character) would say. I just found out that that's a series too.
The latest book that I just got done with (in 1 and half days) is Twilight. This book I could not put down. I stayed up until 2:11a.m. to finish it. It was really good read and I cannot wait to read the next one. I don't want to start with it until I see the movie. I have a friend that has seen it already twice and said she would like to go with me to see it this week. I love the way that she is so detailed about things, but there are times that she looses me and I have no idea what shes trying to tell.
Well, now I have Biology to read, so I will mix it up. Biology is interesting too. The first chapter is about if scientists can cure the common cold.

Its cold
Usually we do not get ice, snow, ext. until after the new yr, but this yr I guess it decided to do its own thing (who would have thought) and its freaking cold out peoples. The high today will be 28 and the for the whole week I think 38 degrees. The cars were frozen and I took 15 minutes to get the ice off. I got the kids to school to find out that the schools were closed until 10a. Great, so I let the kids play while I started cleaning up the living room and doing laundry. I found out that Rockwall ISD is closed, dang it. We're just a short distance from Rockwall, but noooo we won't close. I feel for the kids.
So, I dropped off the kids at school, drove over a bridge (that was fun, luckily no one was around), dropped off a library book, dropped off a movie, drove back over the bridge, and to come home to throw away Christmas lights that were outside on the ground. What happened was on my birthday David had to go out with some friends from work because one of them is leaving to Houston. I was on the phone with him and all of a sudden I started hearing noises up by the house and then lots of popping and then the Christmas lights went out. David said to stay on the phone with him and not to go outside. December was barking like crazy and came to sit next to me until David got home. The next day we noticed that our Christmas lights are broken. PUNKS!! Also, I just noticed that our mail box is broken on one side. So I finally, in this great weather that we are having, went to pick up the strand and broken glass. "Its the most wonderful time of the year. . .".

christmas shopping
Christmas shopping is usually done by now, but noooo, we're still shopping. We're now done with the kids so I just have David. He's hard to shop for though. Do I have toooooo. (I'm whinning) We went out today with KC with us and cannot believe how people are just rude and . . . they just are bugging me. Cutting into line in the store and in traffic, language, and stilling things from your hands. Goodness. So I think I will stick on getting these things done before Thanksgiving for now on.
We had our pizza/movie night tonight because last night was a ward concert. We watched Prince Caspian, Narnia. It was ok, not as good as the first Narnia. Slowwww. So now I'm doing this while David watches his Ultimate Fighter Final and now I'm getting off of this and getting some sleep. Nighty-Night

32 and proud of it
So its another day, but I'm one yr older, 32. I remember when I was young and thinking that people were old (exept for my aunt Melodie because she makes ages look young) when they became older than 30, so I'm there and I don't feel old. My life isn't ending, my body is not breaking down, and I'm smarter. So there younger me!!

Christmas partiesss
K, I love Christmas, but whats up with all the partiesss. So many to go to, one even on my b-day. (we're not going) This past Friday was our pizza/movie night, usually I do not answer the phone, but I did. I found out the kids needed to be to a primary breakfast with Santa. We have missed a couple of sunday's, but not that much. So we got up and went. Usually David and I drop off the kids and leave, but I want to see Santa too. Donuts, a game, songs, and then. . .
He was good. went to the parents after wards and said what the kids wanted, just in case parents think they need that or not. Santa has a good memory. So KC would like a whole shlu of nerf guns, Kaylea would like a laptop and cell phone as well as Bre. Can I say "umm, heck no". Santa had them go back to him and ask for something mean oh mom will aprove of. Santa cannot be the bad guy.

Thanksgiving

We had a great visit from my parents. My dad and I got to spend a little one-on-one which I enjoyed. We went to the JFK momorial 6th floor thingy. That was interesting. We read and learned different things. I hope he enjoyed it. Mom made me feel bad, but its my bad. With school, church callings, and just everything that is going on I tryed cleaning up as much as I could. The clothes were stacking up, the bathrooms didn't get cleaned, and our room has all the boxes of scrapbooking and craft stuff. My mom did all my laundry and helped a lot. Thanks mom. But then I feel like a loser for not being to keep up with things. David is good and just says that its fine, but I hate not being able to keep up. Makes me feel yucky. Any who, on Tuesday we had my birthday and Christmas with my parents. I still had to go to my classes, but after that we decrated the tree (the kids and David, I took pics), and then opened presents. David got his early, a grill, I got the wii fit (so awsome!!), the girls got boots, and KC got a remote control motorcycle. We got my parents another web cam and a 8x10 picture that has eachone of the grandchildren and in the center there is a pic of all four together. YESSS! I made her cry!! That means she likes it.
Weds. we left for Uncle Gene and Aunt Kathy's, this is my dads brother. We spent Thankgiving with family which is so nice. I do love getting together, hearing laughter and hearing stories. I do love going to Gene and Kathy's, they are such sweet people and so fun too. There was my cousins along with their families, Grandpa Lindberg with Sheri, my aunt Lucy and her husband Ernie. My dad, aunt Lucy, mom, and I did go see my grandfather Billy Bertram in the nursing home. That was hard. I don't know him very well, I've visited with his a couple of times before, but not much. He has no memory of things. What touched me though, and I hope dad doesn't mind telling this, when we were leaving, mom and Lucy left the room so it was just grandpa Billy, dad, and I. Dad was saying goodbye and Billy took he hand, Dad said "I love you dad" and Billy said "I love you too". Dad left right away. I was saying goodbye and I said it was good to see him again, he took my hand and did not want to let go. He held my hand for a time and then he said "thank you". Hard stuff.
We all had fun having Thanksgiving with family. Dad says he would love to move to TX, but it would have to be by Gene. I do love seeing my dad smile and having a good time around his family that he doesn't get to see very much. I do know that he misses them and loves them so. My dad is the sweetest person, I call him a big teddy bear. He's a quiet man, but we learn so much from him and all the good he does for my brothers and I. I know that my mom and he would give up everything for us. I love them so much and miss that I'm not around them, to help them with things, but I know that our place is here in Texas, so barn it you two, move here!! he,he,he
K, so this is not everything that happened and this is already long so I'm going to write a list of events; kickball games, visit from grandma Lindberg's sister, turkey rubbing, fart machine, men chasing birds in a garage, kids dancing, and LOT of laughter. I think that I have missed some things, but all and all, families are great. Love yas!

Pizza time
Every Friday or Saturday we have pizza so last week I decided to try to make our own.
The kids got a say what they wanted on top and got to cut it after wards. Everyone loved it. It seemed to fill us up faster too. As you see the girls gave it a thumbs up and KC was side ways. He said the sauce was too sweet. Just more fun stuff to do together.

Your personal family Traditions for Christmas
Christmas time is coming and David and I decided to stay here in TX to have our own Christmas. To tell you the truth, I have no idea what to do. The tradition that I'm use to is started Christmas Eve with my moms side of the family. We get together to read the out of the Bible about Jesus birth. We all take turns reading. Then someone reads "The Night Before Christmas". Christmas morning my family (mom, dad,Ryan, Liz, us, and the kids) open our gifts at home and then move over to a family members home to have breakfast there and to spend time with each other. We also have a get together with David's side of the family too. I have loved this time with family and seeing everyone. This year we need to do our own thing, so I ask for some advise from you. What do you do if you do not have extended family around and have your own Christmas? I think we will still read out of the Bible and read "The Night Before Christmas".
I'm blessed to have my mom and dad to come for Thanksgiving. They will be leaving to come here on the 22nd. We will be having our own Christmas together on the 25th of November and celebrating my bday. We plan to leave to see my aunt and uncle in Llano on Wed. The kids are exited to have their grandparents coming. I think they like them.
Well, please let me know what I could do to make the Christmas day a little more memorable.
Thanks!!

college news
If you don't know I'm going to college to get my bachelors in Special Education. I have been working on my basics since fall of 2003, taking part time school. Right now I'm taking College Algebra and a Mass Media class. The Mass Media class is just papers after papers to write. She just gave us a calendar for the next month. I have 4 papers to write and then her final on December 4th. As for math, I have the final on that on December 11th (happy birthday to me), but I might be able to take it the day before.
So, I'm thinking of being crazy and taking a wintermester class for education. For spring I will be taking on a full load. Biology, part 2 of government (I did not want to take that this semester), and 2 education classes. Then guess what!! I start at A&M Commerce, I'm going to be an Aggie! Actually, David will be starting there next fall too, so two Aggies in the house! Yes, I am exited if you couldn't tell. Finally a University. David's company that he works for will be paying for his masters which is a great thing. He's not too exited, but wants to take opportunity since they are paying for it. Lets see, we will have a fifth grader, two fourth graders, a junior in college, and a guy starting his masters next fall.
Do you think education is important in our house? I think that its good for the kids to see that education is something that they need in their lives. Seeing their parents still in school, working hard, and that they have homework too. The kids are always asking "mom, is your homework done?" before I go out. Funny kids.
You know that this life is a whole learning experience and we will still be learning after we leave this life too. Gee, our brains are strong!

We had a GREAT Halloween!! David and I ran around most of the day. First, Dee Dee had a vet appt. Last time that we took her in the vet said that it would probably will take another month for a part of Dee Dee's leg to heal. The bit is in the top crease of her leg, so the stiches kept coming out and . . . it has been bad. We took her in yesterday and the Dr. said that she was shocked on how much it has closed up. We don't have to wrap it anymore, just more meds though for this week and then she might be done!! After that we went to vote, no waiting. After that David had his othro appt and more good news. David has been in braces, this Dec., for two yrs. The Dr. said that David can set up an appt to get the braces off the week before Thanksgiving. He is too exited. After that we just hung out with each other until we had to get home to the kids getting home from school. We desided to go to our wards halloween get together. We ate and truck-or-treated. I think the kids had fun. But before we left David had a great idea, "You and I should dress up too." I, for some reason, agreed.
Kolton is Obi-1-Kenoby (I think I spelt that right), Kaylea is Jenny and Bre is Hermonie from Harry Potter, David is a sight seer, and I am Destructinators fan. (Destructinator is a band that my cousin is a part of. Look them up on myspace) So we had fun. Today has been just a day of cleaning up the house and the yards, woho. Hope everyone had fun last night!

We desided to take the kids to a local pumkin patch before my sister-in-law and nephew moved back to AZ. My hubby took over the camera, so yes, you do see me.

It was so good to have my siser-in-law here with us. She and I would switch days for cooking and she would cook on the days that we had stuff going on. We would be able to eat, clean up, and leave which is nice to have one less thing to worry about. My nephew is a cutie and I didn't mind him being around. KC is glad to have his room back to himself. We will miss them, but glad that my brother was able to find work and now the grandparents have a grandchild close to them again.

PICTURE TIME
This past summer we went to UT to see family. I had a cousin that graduated from H.S. and another cousin that came back from a trip to Europe. We love going there because we get to go hiking and just being out doors. This year my cousins took us rock climbing. The kids loved it!! I do not think that I'm that strong yet, but I'm working on it.
TX fair, KC rock climbing & he got to the top!!
Our poor baby Dee Dee w/ her hurt leg.
So, for the girls eighth bday they wanted to go ice skating. They were doing good, but then Bre fell down onto her elbow. OUCH. I thought we would have to take her to the hospital, but we got ice, 4 free tickets to come back another time, and she was suppose to sit out. She sat with the ice with me for a total of 4 minutes and then back out she went. Not 10 minutes late after that David fell and hit his head, he's all good!
My little brother and his cute little monkey. They both have silly faces having fun at the fair.
Every year at the fair there are two things the kids have to do; rock wall and fish. David decided this year to do some fishing with our nephew.Saturday, October 18, 2008
So its been a crazy couple of weeks. December, our sweet eight year old dog, was attacked while protecting our daughters from another dog. Her leg is all torn up, but shes healing pretty good. My brother was not able to get a job here in Texas so they are moving back to AZ.
I am going crazy right now, just a lot on my mind and goodness my blood pressure is proving it right now. I can tell through my speech and how I have a hard time thinking too, these are things linked with my brain conections. I have a learning disability where the links in the brain slows down, it takes me longer to get the right words or something to conect.
Any who, We are all good, just busy and stressed. We did go to the Texas state fair. That is always fun and neat to see different things. All the fried foods that they sell there. . . fried banana splits are new this year. My brother and sister-in-law liked it too. They have a rock climbing wall and KC went all the way to the top this year!! He said it was because of my cousins teaching he this past summer. Kay lost her grip as she got almost to the top and Bre had some pegs missing from her side, so she said.

Okay, so its been awhile that I've writen. We have been BUSsssY. We have been getting our things unpacked, then getting Ryan and Liz unpacked, and then reorganizing. So we have it done now, yeay team! So this is how the day usually goes. We get up (we at first as David) to get the kids up and going at 5:30a. We queitly get ready for the day, eat, brush teeth, get dressed while we listen to Kaylea complain about wearing uniforms, and get out the door by 6:30a. David takes the kids to the bus stop and then heads to work. I go work out for about an hour and a half to two hours. I come home get a shower, eat breakfast, read email and all that fun stuff. Then if its Tuesday and Thursday's I go to school. If its a Monday or Wednsday I stay home, do house work while I do homework or plan for cub scouts. ( by the by, we got new callings. David teaches the 12 & 13 yr old Sunday School and is the wolf/bear assistant. I am the Webelo leader & help David with his sunday school class.) When the kids get out of school is homework with them, piano lessons or practice, cub scouts/activities (on Weds), David soccer game (Tues), or church stuff. So, the weekends we like to veg. Its crazy with just that stuff.
So talking about David and playing soccer. . . a couple of weeks ago David signed himself up to play for a team from work. They just go play on Tuesday's. Two weeks ago we all go watch David play, be his cheerleaders and such. Usually there is not much others there so that team members get a break, so he plays the whole time. I can tell that he was hurting towards the end. He ended up tering his grone muscle. So for a week he iced it, kept massaging the leg, but he still was hurting bad. That Saturday he showed me his inner thigh. It was really bruised up. We never knew that by taring a muscle that it would bruse. He finally called his sister Faye to ask if he had to go see a Dr. She said that he just had to wait it out and continue what he was doing. So heres some pics of my poor baby. Well, I got to go. Hayden's waking up, so that mean Liz and I are going to go work out!!

We are still unpacking because we just moved, yes once again. I know that some of you are going "goodness, when are they going to stop moving. . .", "they are not stable". Its my fault. Lets see, the first time we moved was out of the Mesa house to Germany, so that was military. Then we bought our house in El Mirage, we lived there for four yrs. Then we moved to a rental in Rockwall for a yr and then bought a house. We lived in there for . . . oh, 3 yrs. Then we moved into a temp rental. That is because we wanted to move back to AZ because we miss family and our close friends. We were almost there, but David and I started praying for us to go there, he got an offer from a company that was just a contract job. We were going to take it, but David's job here gave him more to stay. We do love the family, but AZ is sooo not stable right now. Hopefully in another couple of years. So now we are within a couple of miles of David's job and we are good now that I can concentrate on school and not worry about working too. I know I should not have to explain everything that we do, but I do want people to understand what we are thinking.
Any who, we are still unpacking and we are unpacking a bit fast right now because my brother and family will be living with us for a bit. Like I said, AZ is not doing well right now for jobs. My brother and wife have decided to try it here. We are happy to help them out. We would do that for any of our family and friends. So we are getting things organized around here. I hope most of you know ( because this is for family and friends to be reading) that we would help any of you out, no questions. We both feel that this is something that family would do right away, but I guess that is something that most others do not do. That baffles me. Why would you not want to help people that you love? I know that you also have to take into account what kind of help your giving that person is going to help or hinder them. You can still do something.
Well, its late and we have a busy day tomorrow. . .

Yesterday was fun. Must of you know that Ike hit TX. We're east of Dallas. We have been told for several days to get ready here because it was going to be bad, wind gusts up around 80 mph. Well if you know David and I you know that we are ready. We have our 72 hour packs, water, and we do what we are told. So we are ready. I LOVE STORMS! Yes, I'm crazy in that way, but I love watching the clouds come, I love standing out in the wind, feel the rain all that stuff. We got the storm, but not much of it, Darn it. I just wanted a little more. I shouldn't complain because there are the people south that have nothing now, so yes I'm grateful for having a house to live in.
By the way people, be prepared!!

I went to the Dr.s yesterday because I am just not feeling good and cannot concentrate. I have a ear & sinus infection. I haven't had an ear infection since. . . well, I think as a kid. So I am bed ridden (shaw, that's going to work). I hate going to the Dr.s, especially when I know that I have a sinus infection, can you please just give me the meds? But I am glad that David dragged me this time. I do feel a bit better, I'm out of the bed. Plus I didn't think that I had the ear infection, just pressure in the head. Oh, and my blood pressure is through the roof because I'm sick. So I learned that I should listen to my bright husband when he insists that I should go see the Dr. The question is if he will go when I say that he should? Silly man.

K, so I haven't writen on here for a LONG time. I figured I should start doing this more since family what to know what is going on in my busy life and at least this is something that I can do inbetween classes and such. So from this time forward I will start writing more, thoughts, whats up with this crazy family, rantings, and such. Lucky you!!
