It is a tradition in our family since I was a wee one that on Christmas Eve We would gather around as a family (on the McCoy side) to read out of the scriptures of the birth of Jesus as well as his death. Then Grandpa pick on someone to read The Night Before Christmas. We had a fun time as a family and there was a lot of people that I didn't get to see while we were there because I wanted to concentraite our time with my parents and my brother, Michael, and sister-in-law, Trish.

Its great to see my cousins all grown up and be able to hang out with them. My aunts and uncles are great people and I do miss all of them so much. I was spoiled growing up being around family, having get togethers monthly, and seeing everyone all the time. I do wish that my kidos had that now, but we know that Heavenly Father has us here for a reason and we love it.

On Christmas morning it was just our Bertram family. The kidos were so excited about Christmas. To be truthful, so was I! We had a great morning opening presents and having fun with our new toys and treasures, but the one thing that I was looking forward to more was a gift for my mama ceta.

Okay for the beginning of this story. My crafty and witty sister-in-law, Trish, and brother had asked for all of us siblings to fill out questions from our childhood, 192 questions. They gave me plenty of time, 8 months. Well, I got it done and turned in in 10 months.

Trish had put together all of our question and answers into one book with pictures. It is awesome and we knew that that would be something my mom would love.

She opened it and cried! Thats when you know that a gift is a treasure. Trish also surprised me with my own book and then we each got a DVD with our pictures in it of our family growing. BEAUTIFUL!

It was a great Christmas getting to know Michael and Trish more. (umm, this is where I'm suppose to have a picture or two of Michael and Trish, but the pics that I took of them is not on here!! grrr, where did they go?!)

Oh I better list what the kids got. Each kido, including David, got got an air soft pistal.

Kolton got all kinds of tennis stuff, games, and movies.

Kaylea and Bre Bear got clothes, movies, games (Kaylea collects Uno games now), purses, and TONS of scrapbooking things. Oh no it isn't!

It snowed on us and it was fun stuff. The day before it snowed and froze though it rained so the next day when we went to church I told David to watch the roads while we were in church. They said that they advise us to leave right before the 3rd hour and thank goodness they did. On the way home I started sliding 3 times! Okay, I know some of you out there are like "Your a bunch of wusses in TX", the roads were frozen people!! and its kinda nice to leave from church early. We got home and waited for David to get home, he had to stay at church until everyone left. Ryan and Liz REALLY wanted to go to the park to play in the snow there.

We listened to them and went too and we froze!!! It was FREAKIN cold. We could have stayed home to play in the snow. Any who, David, the kids, Semi, and Chewy loved though running around in the snow.

Semi and Chewy love to catch snow balls in their mouth.

The kids hand a ball out there, but I think we were there only for a half an hour before everyone was saying how cold they were. Ryan started whining first.

The snowed for the whole week. He is in student council and is in charge of a program called PALS. He sets up times for sixth graders to go read to Kindergarten or first graders on Fridays. He is taking a break from Tennis this season due to us moving. (We'll talk more on that later)

Kaylea has been busy as well. She is in the 5th grade this year. We have been learning a lot from her and all the interests that she has. 1st interest is still softball. She is know on a different team and loves this team. 2nd Baking and cooking!! She made her first apple pie for our Thanksgiving and it was delicious!!! 3rd and this just was this past week she is starting to design dresses from material and from sheets. She was heart broken when I wouldn't let her wear her favoritest dress to church. I had to tell her that she couldn't wear a sheet that is all safety pinned up. David told her that we will take her to the store to get a pattern, material, and let her start sewing. umm, I'm not too sure about this, but maybe I should just let her do it. She is going to be competing in UIL for story telling next Saturday.

Bre has had a interest turn in events as well. She has decided that she no longer wants to play softball and has turned to swimming. She has practice 3 times a week for a hour and half. This season her team will start competing. She loves the water and anything to do with water. She is helping Kaylea out with the designing dresses by being the model because she is loving Kaylea dress her up. She is having a harder time in school this year, but she is trying hard. She is also going to be competing in UIL this year for Listening. Listening is new this year so we will see how she does.

David is right now in the home stretch of completing his Masters in Science Management. He will be graduating this August!! He is sooo not looking forward to this semester or the summer classes because there will be a lot of writing to do, but I know that he will do great and feel better when he is done. He has a calling as the executive secretary for the Bishopric. This guy is way busy so we like to keep our weekend free so he can relax on Saturday and the rest of the day on Sunday's after getting home from church. Humm, out of all the pictures 2010 this is the only one that I could find of David. That's crazy. Well, here's David with his groupie.
This has been a weird year for me. I had to have surgery to take out wires from a surgery that I had in high school. My right hand was starting to act weird and I couldn't control it and it hurt bad. The Dr. took out the wires and then had to fix my muscles and tendinit in there. I had to take fall semester off because I could not write or do anything with the right hand. I still am not going to school because of the move coming up soon, hopefully.

Well, that's a quick review of what has happen with us.

More info to come and hopefully I will do better with this.

Beach fun from last summer

Ok, I haven't put pics up in FOREVER!! Sorry. Last summer we did had some fun at the Galviston beach after the girls 9th birthday.

This beach isn't the pretties, but it cooled us down. We stayed at a hotel that was just right across the street from the beach which was nice to just be able to walk over.

David had fun teaching the kidos how to body surf. There is tons of seaweed all over though.

This trip was after I was getting better from my hernia surgery and my first time out. I didn't get in the water much because of that. Tater Tot was by my side most of the time. We have been just a bit busy. We ALL started school again. KC is a 5th grader, the girls are 4th graders, I started at A&M Commerce as a Junior, and David was excepted into a MSM (masters in science management) that L-3 does. Then in September the bishop asked me to be Relief Society President. I actually was calm and excepted the calling. I know that this was Heavenly Father that really wanted me in that position and have been doing quite well. The kidos were all on the same soccer team thankfully because that saved us a lot. It also rained tons so the kids didn't get to play too much.

Thanksgiving week we adopted a 1 1/2 month old puppy. David named him Chewbacca and he is David's puppy. He will sit and stay now and even goes to the back door to let us know that he needs out. He is now almost 4 months old and is growing so fast. He and Dee play with each other all the time and Dra just snaps at him. Dra is an old man and is not like anyone around him, he will let the kids go lay on him while they watch TV and wants to be around David once David gets home. He doesn't get up much and David does have to pick he up most of the time. The vet did let us know that more likely that this year will be Dra's last which is hard. David and I got Dra 2 months after we got married. It will be hard when he goes.

We had a much needed brake for Christmas that we did absolutely nothing! We even told the kids that we were not going to do anything and they liked that idea as well. Oh wait, we did go to Sixx Flags for a day for their Holiday in the Park. David and the kids had fun on the rides, I didn't get to ride anything because I was sick to my stomach. We did buy a second vehicle, a 2004 Suburban that is awesome. I have to get use to parking it still.

KC is almost done with his Webelos year. He just got nominated for the Education in Action from his teacher. This is a program to teach him more about Leadership. So this summer he will be leaving us for a whole week. I didn't know if he would go for it, but he said that he is excited to do it. He just had a busy weekend too. His last pinewood derby, got 5th place, and then UIL competition for Maps, graphs, and charts. He placed 5th in that. He is on the A Honor Roll. He is a very smart boy and we are proud of him and his accomplishments.

Kay is doing well. She did try out for UIL this year, but for something different and did not get in. She's more laid back this school year which is good, but then again then its not. We are having to stay on her about homework and trying hard. She has decided that she would like to stay with catching in softball. This works for her because she does have the trash talk down and does very well with that. We have to work with her about how to talk with people because she is sooo blunt. Other than that she is doing well, just looking forward for softball to start up soon. She is on the A/B Honor Roll. She has been helping me with Relief Society stuff and around the house because she does realize how busy mom and dad are. We are appreciating that.

Bre Bear is doing very good this school year. She too tried out for UIL this year, but has never been able to get in which is fine to her. She has been working hard in school this year and is on the A/B Honor Roll as well and is darn proud of that. She has always been a little slower, but this year she has opened up a lot. She is going to try pitching this season with softball. She does like it out in the field, but wanted to give pitching a try. She loves being outdoors and is bummed that we have not done ANY camping this past year so we are going to have to make up for that this year. She is also helping me with Relief Society stuff and will ask questions about what we are doing and why. She is such a smart little girl and is trying hard this year.

As for David, well he's a busy, busy man. He is going to school for his masters, kidos, me, and now he just got called as executive secretary! He flipped a bit, but I think he's starting to calm down and knows that this is a calling from Heavenly Father. He is working hard to do everything for his family and we all love him for that.

Well, I think that is the updates. I will try my hardest to get on here at least once a week to get pics up and whats what with us.

We love ya'll and know that Heavenly Father is blessing us.

Spring stuff

In the spring we were TOTALLY busy, which I love. I like the craziness of running around and stuff going on. I feel that I'm actually doing something. KC and Kaylea were chosen to to do UIL (University Interscholastic League)for academics. Kaylea for third grade story telling and KC for fourth grade music memory. They did very well. Kaylea placed second place and KC placed fifth place. I'm very proud of them.

As this was going on, KC was also playing "FOOTBAAAALLLLL" or we in the USA call it soccer. I have to write this quick like because we are running off once more. The kidos are in baseball/softball. Tuesday and Thursday's are practices, Monday is softball games and Saturday is basball games. David is the assistant coach for KC's team. I help with the softball. We are loving it. Wendsday's is girls activity days and cub scouts which David and I are apart of. David's the Bear assistant leader and I'm the Webelo leader by myself. All this and we still have piano practice which we like. So our Sunday's have become VERY sacrid now. I'm trying to get this semester over and done with because I'm way sick of it all. I'm burnt out!! Well, I got to go. I will write more later, bit by bit of what is going on and maybe someday soon I will get pics up.

up dates

Goodness, Why is it I feel like I cannot keep up? So the kids are all in sports. KC is playing soccer and will be starting baseball with David being the assistant coach. The girls are playing softball. So this is how it goes. The kids get home from school around 3:30, have a snack, do homework, practice piano, and do what little chores they have. Tuesday's and Thursday's they have practice all at the same time at different places for an hr and half. Monday's right after school is piano lessons and Wednesdays its cub scouts/activity days. Now in the mix of all of that, I go 4 times a week to work out my muscles with a friend of mine around 6p. So life is busy, but we like it that way.
I don't remember if I mentioned this in the older posts, but I have two hernia's that I get to have fixed. I cannot do it now because I have school and the Dr. is saying I'm going to be down for six weeks. I will be able to walk around after two weeks, but nothing like housework and stuff. So I just scheduled the date for May 21st. Its a Thurs. and memorial weekend, so David will have those days off. Mom is planning on flying in on the 26th. It does hurt, but I think I can deal with it for another 3 months. We are thinking about starting to garden too. I have a friend that does it and Tiff is inspiring me, so David said "Lets do it!"
Oh, so we're already planning for next yr and are sooo exited. We are planning on going to Havasupai with family. I have never been and the kids are old enough now to make the hike. We have been looking up pictures and did see the pics of the flood that went through last yr. I have cousins that will be going this yr in June and will tell us if the water is all blue again. I think it would be fun. Any who, well, I will get pics on here soon enough. Sorry for being such a slacker.

Yeah, its been awhile

So we've been dealing with people being sick in this house and now almost everyone is better. David is still out of it. His ear is doing better, but he comes home to take a nap at lunch times and he's been getting to bed early.
This past Friday, KC won pinewood derby in cub scouts and David is thinking he will take KC to race in region. KC is so exited. He and David worked on this car together. They did a lot of widdling and shaping. The next day KC and Kaylea had UIL compitition for the school district. KC took 5th place in music memory and the 4th grade music memory team got first place. Kaylea took 2nd place in story telling for her grade. The boy that won first place won last year too. We are very proud parents right now. I will get pics up later. I haven't been doing a very good job with the pics. :( I will try to do better.

sick sickies

So this house hold has had its share of sickness. It started last week with Kaylea with strep throat. Then on Friday night Bre started with a fever that would go away, but then come back, weird. David got to take her in and she had bronchitis. She stayed home for 3 days. Then its me, start of bronchitis and sinus infection. Fun stuff. They gave me a shot and two antibiotics. So I have been out of it for the last 2 days. Feeling a whole lot better. David is now feeling yucky. I told him that he should see who I saw. He keeps on saying "its just allergies", umm. . . bebe, that's what I said too. I'm going to see the first surgeon tomorrow for the hernia. I won't be seeing the next one until Feb. 16 and then one in AZ hopefully in March. Have I said what is going on, gee, k slow down Shannan. I had a c-section with the twins. The Dr's. did not put the muscles back to where they were suppose to be and just told me that if I worked out then they would go back to normal. Well, its 8 yrs later and its gotten worse to the point that it hurts, having problems with my digestion and stuff, and working out is not helping. I just went in to see my OB/GYN and she said "yeah this needs to be taken care of soon". The soonest I'm thinking is the summer, then if I have the surgery here, my mom can come and help out with the kids. If I get to have the surgeon that I had in AZ (which would be great) then I will go there to have it done. Everything is in the works. Wish me luck.

Silly Bre

David opens the freezer and find a bowl of cheerios, no milk in it,just cheerios.
David: Who put the bowl of cereal in the freezer?!
Bre: I did daddy.
David: Why did you put it in the freezer?
Bre very serious: I wanted cold cereal.
David was laughing so hard and Bre just looked at him like he's crazy.
Kids are too funny sometimes and I have to stop myself and remind myself I have no idea what their thinking sometimes.

Busy, busy

Its already getting really busy around the Evans household, but thats the way we like it. I love the back ground, it makes me feel colder as if should, ITS WINTER! I do like having change.
I have finished Eclipse. It is so good. I just continue to love how she writes and how I still am captivated in these books. I am exited that the second movie will have a different director. I just think the first one should have been so much better.
Songs. . . I need to explain because there all over the place. Angry Johnny, I was a senior in high school and would wake-up to MTV on the TV, Angry Johnny was always on to wake me. I loved the song even though its about killing someone. I never knew why I liked the song, but now I believe its because of the guy I was with then. To this day I like it though. Leave Out All The Rest, wow. . . well, I think that everyone feels this way. I have found out this past yr that I have people that don't really like me, that feel that I have done things wrong to them. This was never my intent and I apologize. I would like to have them come to me and tell me these things, but I understand why they would not, I don't do that. Just some things that I need to work on and I hope and pray these people will think of the good that I have done and "Leave Out All The Rest". Its Your Love, this is David and my song, we danced to this at our wedding reception that was just picked out for us which suits us. The rest are just good songs. So now you know what is behind in my thinking.

New book

Yes, school is back in for me, so I read a chapter and do my work and then I can read, read a whole book. I just finished New Moon. It was so good and I enjoyed it. I find myself getting involved. I just do not want to put it down. I cannot understand where shes taking you at times still, it confuses me. David had me read it to him one night. I was thinking he was interested, but no, he needed to hear my voice to go to sleep. I will be going tomorrow with a couple of other women to see Twilight. Some ladies from the ward have a book club and this month they read "The Christmas Jar". This book was good and gave me an idea of what we can do as a family this next yr. I need to have Bre finish the pickles soon. This book made me cry and just puts things that I would like to do.
Another one that I got is called Naked Once More by Elizabeth Peters. I got this one from the library because my mom has me addicted to one of Elizabeth Peters series called The Amilia Peabody Series. I usually just listen to that series while on the long trip to AZ, but I wanted to read it. None were in so I picked Naked Once More. It was really good. I love the humor and I told David I wish I could come up with some of the things that Jacqueline Kirby (the character) would say. I just found out that that's a series too.
The latest book that I just got done with (in 1 and half days) is Twilight. This book I could not put down. I stayed up until 2:11a.m. to finish it. It was really good read and I cannot wait to read the next one. I don't want to start with it until I see the movie. I have a friend that has seen it already twice and said she would like to go with me to see it this week. I love the way that she is so detailed about things, but there are times that she looses me and I have no idea what shes trying to tell.
Well, now I have Biology to read, so I will mix it up. Biology is interesting too. The first chapter is about if scientists can cure the common cold.

Its cold

Usually we do not get ice, snow, ext. until after the new yr, but this yr I guess it decided to do its own thing (who would have thought) and its freaking cold out peoples. The high today will be 28 and the for the whole week I think 38 degrees. The cars were frozen and I took 15 minutes to get the ice off. I got the kids to school to find out that the schools were closed until 10a. Great, so I let the kids play while I started cleaning up the living room and doing laundry. I found out that Rockwall ISD is closed, dang it. We're just a short distance from Rockwall, but noooo we won't close. I feel for the kids. So, I dropped off the kids at school, drove over a bridge (that was fun, luckily no one was around), dropped off a library book, dropped off a movie, drove back over the bridge, and to come home to throw away Christmas lights that were outside on the ground. What happened was on my birthday David had to go out with some friends from work because one of them is leaving to Houston. I was on the phone with him and all of a sudden I started hearing noises up by the house and then lots of popping and then the Christmas lights went out. David said to stay on the phone with him and not to go outside. December was barking like crazy and came to sit next to me until David got home. The next day we noticed that our Christmas lights are broken. PUNKS!! Also, I just noticed that our mail box is broken on one side. So I finally, in this great weather that we are having, went to pick up the strand and broken glass. "Its the most wonderful time of the year. . .".

christmas shopping

Christmas shopping is usually done by now, but noooo, we're still shopping. We're now done with the kids so I just have David. He's hard to shop for though. Do I have toooooo. (I'm whinning) We went out today with KC with us and cannot believe how people are just rude and . . . they just are bugging me. Cutting into line in the store and in traffic, language, and stilling things from your hands. Goodness. So I think I will stick on getting these things done before Thanksgiving for now on.
We had our pizza/movie night tonight because last night was a ward concert. We watched Prince Caspian, Narnia. It was ok, not as good as the first Narnia. Slowwww. So now I'm doing this while David watches his Ultimate Fighter Final and now I'm getting off of this and getting some sleep. I remember when I was young and thinking that people were old (exept for my aunt Melodie because she makes ages look young) when they became older than 30, so I'm there and I don't feel old. My life isn't ending, my body is not breaking down, and I'm smarter. So many to go to, one even on my b-day. (we're not going) This past Friday was our pizza/movie night, usually I do not answer the phone, but I did. I found out the kids needed to be to a primary breakfast with Santa. We have missed a couple of sunday's, but not that much. So we got up and went. Usually David and I drop off the kids and leave, but I want to see Santa too. Donuts, a game, songs, and then. . .

SANTA, over here!!

He was good. went to the parents after wards and said what the kids wanted, just in case parents think they need that or not. Santa has a good memory. So KC would like a whole shlu of nerf guns, Kaylea would like a laptop and cell phone as well as Bre. Can I say "umm, heck no". Santa had them go back to him and ask for something mean oh mom will aprove of. Santa cannot be the bad guy.
So after that they changed it to barbies. After that David and KC stayed home to put up lights on the house. This is the first yr we get to do this since we are home this yr. The girls and I went shopping for KC and David. Got home from that and got to help wrap the gifts and then it was KC's turn to go shopping. Now, usually I have a hard time finding things for him, but this yr its the girls. I keep thinking what they had circled in the ads are things that they already have and they don't play with those so why should I get somthing like it. David and I talked about that and came out to a conclution that we will just get what they ask for for their childhood memories later. Back to KC and I shopping, we could not find what Bre asked for, a Furreal newborn panda bear. So I did some searching on line. Its out there, but its on back order. GREAT. Now I got to find stuff and possiby have to go to Dallas to find it. I have to come up with other things too for these two girls. I usually get all the shopping done before Thanksgiving so I don't have to do this and stay in a Christ like mood for Christmas. I will take a breath. . . . :o and STRESS!!

Thanksgiving

We had a great visit from my parents. My dad and I got to spend a little one-on-one which I enjoyed. We went to the JFK momorial 6th floor thingy. That was interesting. We read and learned different things. I hope he enjoyed it. Mom made me feel bad, but its my bad. With school, church callings, and just everything that is going on I tryed cleaning up as much as I could. The clothes were stacking up, the bathrooms didn't get cleaned, and our room has all the boxes of scrapbooking and craft stuff. My mom did all my laundry and helped a lot. Thanks mom. But then I feel like a loser for not being to keep up with things. David is good and just says that its fine, but I hate not being able to keep up. Makes me feel yucky. Any who, on Tuesday we had my birthday and Christmas with my parents. I still had to go to my classes, but after that we decrated the tree (the kids and David, I took pics), and then opened presents. David got his early, a grill, I got the wii fit (so awsome!!), the girls got boots, and KC got a remote control motorcycle. We got my parents another web cam and a 8x10 picture that has eachone of the grandchildren and in the center there is a pic of all four together. YESSS! I made her cry!! That means she likes it.

Weds. we left for Uncle Gene and Aunt Kathy's, this is my dads brother. We spent Thankgiving with family which is so nice. I do love getting together, hearing laughter and hearing stories. I do love going to Gene and Kathy's, they are such sweet people and so fun too. There was my cousins along with their families, Grandpa Lindberg with Sheri, my aunt Lucy and her husband Ernie. My dad, aunt Lucy, mom, and I did go see my grandfather Billy Bertram in the nursing home. That was hard. I don't know him very well, I've visited with his a couple of times before, but not much. He has no memory of things. What touched me though, and I hope dad doesn't mind telling this, when we were leaving, mom and Lucy left the room so it was just grandpa Billy, dad, and I. Dad was saying goodbye and Billy took he hand, Dad said "I love you dad" and Billy said "I love you too". Dad left right away. I was saying goodbye and I said it was good to see him again, he took my hand and did not want to let go. He held my hand for a time and then he said "thank you". Hard stuff.

We all had fun having Thanksgiving with family. Dad says he would love to move to TX, but it would have to be by Gene. I do love seeing my dad smile and having a good time around his family that he doesn't get to see very much. I do know that he misses them and loves them so. My dad is the sweetest person, I call him a big teddy bear. He's a quiet man, but we learn so much from him and all the good he does for my brothers and I. I know that my mom and he would give up everything for us. I love them so much and miss that I'm not around them, to help them with things, but I know that our place is here in Texas, so barn it you two, move here!! he,he,he

K, so this is not everything that happened and this is already long so I'm going to write a list of events; kickball games, visit from grandma Lindberg's sister, turkey rubbing, fart machine, men chasing birds in a garage, kids dancing, and LOT of laughter. I think that I have missed some things, but all and all, families are great. Love yas!

Something new

K, so we have things happening around here that are new.

First, Bre Bear is now wearing glasses.

Second, KC went to get his hair trimmed, but they cut it short.

He hates it!

DAVID GOT HIS BRACES OFF!!

He said he had to have them off before Thanksgiving, so last week

he got them off. To tell you the truth, I have no idea what to do. The tradition that I'm use to is started Christmas Eve with my moms side of the family. We get together to read the out of the Bible about Jesus birth. We all take turns reading. Then someone reads "The Night Before Christmas". Christmas morning my family (mom, dad,Ryan, Liz, us, and the kids) open our gifts at home and then move over to a family members home to have breakfast there and to spend time with each other. We also have a get together with David's side of the family too. I have loved this time with family and seeing everyone. This year we need to do our own thing, so I ask for some advise from you. What do you do if you do not have extended family around and have your own Christmas? I think we will still read out of the Bible and read "The Night Before Christmas".

I'm blessed to have my mom and dad to come for Thanksgiving. They will be leaving to come here on the 22nd. We will be having our own Christmas together on the 25th of November and celebrating my bday. We plan to leave to see my aunt and uncle in Llano on Wed. The kids are exited to have their grandparents coming. I think they like them.

Well, please let me know what I could do to make the Christmas day a little more memorable.

Thanks!!

college news

If you don't know I'm going to college to get my bachelors in Special Education. I have been working on my basics since fall of 2003, taking part time school. Right now I'm taking College Algebra and a Mass Media class. The Mass Media class is just papers after papers to write. She just gave us a calendar for the next month. I have 4 papers to write and then her final on December 4th. As for math, I have the final on that on December 11th (happy birthday to me), but I might be able to take it the day before.
So, I'm thinking of being crazy and taking a wintermester class for education. For spring I will be taking on a full load. Biology, part 2 of government (I did not want to take that this semester), and 2 education classes. Then guess what!! I start at A&M Commerce, I'm going to be an Aggie! Actually, David will be starting there next fall too, so two Aggies in the house! Yes, I am exited if you couldn't tell. Finally a University. David's company that he works for will be paying for his masters which is a great thing. He's not too exited, but wants to take opportunity since they are paying for it. Lets see, we will have a fifth grader, two fourth graders, a junior in college, and a guy starting his masters next fall.
Do you think education is important in our house? I think that its good for the kids to see that education is something that they need in their lives. Seeing their parents still in school, working hard, and that they have homework too. The kids are always asking "mom, is your homework done?" before I go out. Funny kids.
You know that this life is a whole learning experience and we will still be learning after we leave this life too. David and I ran around most of the day. First, Dee Dee had a vet appt. Last time that we took her in the vet said that it would probably will take another month for a part of Dee Dee's leg to heal. The bit is in the top crease of her leg, so the stiches kept coming out and . . . it has been bad. We took her in yesterday and the Dr. said that she was shocked on how much it has closed up. We don't have to wrap it anymore, just more meds though for this week and then she might be done!! After that we went to vote, no waiting. After that David had his othro appt and more good news. David has been in braces, this Dec., for two yrs. The Dr. said that David can set up an appt to get the braces off the week before Thanksgiving. He is too exited. After that we just hung out with each other until we had to get home to the kids getting home from school. We desided to go to our wards halloween get together. We ate and truck-or-treated. I think the kids had fun. But before we left David had a great idea, "You and I should dress up too." I, for some reason, agreed.

 Happy Halloween (Past)

Kolton is Obi-1-Kenoby (I think I spelt that right), Kaylea is Jenny and Bre is Hermonie from Harry Potter, David is a sight seer, and I am Destructinators fan. December, our sweet eight year old dog, was attacked while protecting our daughters from another dog. Her leg is all torn up, but shes healing pretty good. My brother was not able to get a job here in Texas so they are moving back to AZ.
I am going crazy right now, just a lot on my mind and goodness my blood pressure is proving it right now. I can tell through my speech and how I have a hard time thinking too, these are things linked with my brain conections. I have a learning disability where the links in the brain slows down, it takes me longer to get the right words or something to conect.
Any who, We are all good, just busy and stressed. We did go to the Texas state fair. That is always fun and neat to see different things. All the fried foods that they sell there. . . fried banana splits are new this year. My brother and sister-in-law liked it too. They have a rock climbing wall and KC went all the way to the top this year!! He said it was because of my cousins teaching he this past summer. Kay lost her grip as she got almost to the top and Bre had some pegs missing from her side, so she said.

Okay, so its been awhile that I've writen. We have been BUSsssY. We have been getting our things unpacked, then getting Ryan and Liz unpacked, and then reorganizing. So we have it done now, yeay team! So this is how the day usually goes. We get up (we at first as David) to get the kids up and going at 5:30a. We queitly get ready for the day, eat, brush teeth, get dressed while we listen to Kaylea complain about wearing uniforms, and get out the door by 6:30a. David takes the kids to the bus stop and then heads to work. I go work out for about an hour and a half to two hours. I come home get a shower, eat breakfast, read email and all that fun stuff. Then if its Tuesday and Thursday's I go to school. If its a Monday or Wednsday I stay home, do house work while I do homework or plan for cub scouts. ( by the by, we got new callings. David teaches the 12 & 13 yr old Sunday School and is the wolf/bear assistant. I am the Webelo leader & help David with his sunday school class.) When the kids get out of school is homework with them, piano lessons or practice, cub scouts/activities (on Weds), David soccer game (Tues), or church stuff. So, the weekends we like to veg. Its crazy with just that stuff.

So talking about David and playing soccer. . . a couple of weeks ago David signed himself up to play for a team from work. They just go play on Tuesday's. Two weeks ago we all go watch David play, be his cheerleaders and such. Usually there is not much others there so that team members get a break, so he plays the whole time. I can tell that he was hurting towards the end. He ended up tering his grone muscle. So for a week he iced it, kept massaging the leg, but he still was hurting bad. That Saturday he showed me his inner thigh. It was really bruised up. We never knew that by taring a muscle that it would bruse. He finally called his sister Faye to ask if he had to go see a Dr. She said that he just had to wait it out and continue what he was doing. So heres some pics of my poor baby. Well, I got to go. Hayden's waking up, so that mean Liz and I are going to go work out!!

We are still unpacking because we just moved, yes once again. I know that some of you are going "goodness, when are they going to stop moving. . .", "they are not stable". Its my fault. Lets see, the first time we moved was out of the Mesa house to Germany, so that was military. Then we bought our house in El Mirage, we lived there for four yrs. Then we moved to a rental in Rockwall for a yr and then bought a house. We lived in there for . . . oh, 3 yrs. Then we moved into a temp rental. That is because we wanted to move back to AZ because we miss family and our close friends. We were almost there, but David and I started praying for us to go there, he got an offer from a company that was just a contract job. We were going to take it, but David's job here gave him more to stay. We do love the family, but AZ is sooo not stable right now. Hopefully in another couple of years. So now we are within a couple of miles of David's job and we are good now that I can concentrate on school and not worry about working too. I know I should not have to explain everything that we do, but I do want people to understand what we are thinking.
Any who, we are still unpacking and we are unpacking a bit fast right now because my brother and family will be living with us for a bit. Like I said, AZ is not doing well right now for jobs. My brother and wife have decided to try it here. We are happy to help them out. We would do that for any of our family and friends. So we are getting things organized around here. I hope most of you know ( because this is for family and friends to be reading) that we would help any of you out, no questions. We both feel that this is something that family would do right away, but I guess that is something that most others do not do. That baffles me. Why would you not want to help people that you love? I know that you also have to take into account what kind of help your giving that person is going to help or hinder them. You can still do something.
Well, its late and we have a busy day tomorrow. . .

Yesterday was fun. Must of you know that Ike hit TX. We're east of Dallas. We have been told for several days to get ready here because it was going to be bad, wind gusts up around 80 mph. Well if you know David and I you know that we are ready. We have our 72 hour packs, water, and we do what we are told. So we are ready. I LOVE STORMS! Yes, I'm crazy in that way, but I love watching the clouds come, I love standing out in the wind, feel the rain all that stuff. We got the storm, but not much of it, Darn it. I just wanted a little more. I shouldn't complain because there are the people south that have nothing now, so yes I'm grateful for having a house to live in.
By the way people, be prepared!!

I went to the Dr.s yesterday because I am just not feeling good and cannot concentrate. So I am bed ridden (shaw, that's going to work). I hate going to the Dr.s, especially when I know that I have a sinus infection, can you please just give me the meds? But I am glad that David dragged me this time. I do feel a bit better, I'm out of the bed.
